Coach/Assistant Coach Responsibilities

1)
Must fill out MYSA Registration Form & Kid Safe Form
2)
Agree to comply with requirement that each player play at least 50% of the game
3)
Evaluate players at the end of the season
4)
Hand out Fall & Spring registration forms
5)
Notify parents of important dates
6)
Conduct no less than 1 and no more than 3 practices per week
7)
Collect all league equipment at the end of the Season
8)
Assure that trash is picked up after the game/practice
9)
Will not re-schedule a game unless the age group director has given prior approval
10)
Cannot recruit players as all new registrations must go to the Registrar before player can be allowed to play
11)
Coaches using unregistered players will be suspended immediately
12)
Must know and abide by the MYSA coaches rules of conduct
13)
Will sign all appropriate forms, including acknowledgment of the above at coaches meeting held prior to the start of the season

Age Division Director Responsibilities

1)
Be responsible for any rescheduling or cancellation of games within their age group as allowed by League By-Laws and Rules of Play
2)
Be the first level of appeal for any problems arising within their age group
3)
Where appropriate (U11 and above) coordinate any season ending events within their age group
4)
Hold mandatory coaches meetings prior to the start of the season to ensure that all coaches are familiar with the SSYSL Rules of Play and their responsibilities regarding sportsmanship and said Rules of Play
5)
Select coaches by April 1
6)
Randomly select rosters, in accordance with evaluations, by no later than August 1
7)
Distribute and collect required forms
8)
Distribute and collect equipment
9)
Enforce SSYSL Rules of Play
10)
Enforce Coach's/Parent's code of conduct
11)
Attend SSYSL monthly meetings
12)
Assist with field maintenance
13)
Designate coordinator for write-ups for The Spectator
14)
Disseminate all information to coaches in timely fashion

Registration Rules

1)
All Registrations must be recorded by the Registrar before player can be placed on a team by the appropriate age group director
2)
Coaches cannot add players to their team. Players will be added by division director after Registrar confirms registration of player
3)
Players have to be added according to evaluations so that teams remain balanced
4)
Registration forms received after 6/1/01 will be assessed a late fee and placed on a waiting list
5)
All registrations must be paid for by check, no cash will be accepted under any circumstances
